October 19th

Millie's birthday fell on a Wednesday.  She wanted a little mermaid party. So we decided to have her party at the end of the month so that her grandma Lisa (one of her favorite people in the world) could come to the party and also go trick or treating with the girls.  Even though we we were not having Millie's party till the end of the month, I wanted to make sure she knew how much we loved her and how special she is.  I have always wanted a Halloween baby and I am so grateful I got my wish!

We started the day off with some fun festive Halloween doughnuts!!

I made this shirt of her.  She loves it and request to wear it even when it is not her birthday!

She wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch.  We went to a new one was really cool. It was music thins o everything you touched made a music sound.  The coolest thing was the slide.  It sounded like you ran your hand down a piano.

Remember these buckets from when you were a kid.  I always loved that McDonalds did buckets like this around Halloween.
She got this Shrek and Monters vs Aliens Halloween movie that she begged for.  Needless to say that I bought it and Netflix came out with it a week later on instant que. I was got her some cherry gum.  She loves gum and loves cherry. So perfect combination.  We got her other presents for her actually party but they were coming later. However I wanted to give her a little something on her birthday

We took her a mexican restaurant. Mille loves mexican! While we were there a cop and his wife and baby sat next to us to eat.  Millie wanted to go talk to them.  I let her. The cop gave her a trading card looking thing with his picture and information. She just stared and started at the card the whole night.  When we asked if she thought he was cute she just blushed.

We finished the night at Millie's favorite ice cream place.  You get to make your own and the girls just loved it

I think this picture just sums up how good this place is.

Millie I love you with all my heart.  You are my survivor, my firecracker, master of puzzles, lover of She-ra, my silly Millie little girl!  I will always love you.

October Random Pictures

Here are just some random pictures from the month of October.   Just some every day to day things that you take pictures of.

Tesi Sings

In October the school had a little 1st grade program.  They were asked to dress in call colors and look western.  So Tesi wanted her hair in pigtails.  It was nice to be able to focus on Tesi for a night. Tesi is my child that is very independent.  She is always doing what she is suppose to and does not require a lot of attention.  She is a big helper and is always looking to help the other children.  The cutest part of the program was when Tesi had to hold hands with a boy and dance.  She became really shy right before and kept putting her hands over her eyes and would not look at the boy.  Women you all remember what it was like to hold hands with a boy at that age!  It was great and mortifying at the same time.

First day of School

On August 22 Millie went to her first day of Preschool and Tesi went to her first day of 1st grade.   I always remembered I loved the first day of school. I loved picking out my clothes and getting all my school stuff ready in my new book bag.  The girls had a fashion show of all their new clothes the night before so we could pick out the best outfit for them.  They had so much fun as did mom and me! I know I am pretty biased but I just think my girls are so beautiful!  So us adults (mom, me, and milton) woke up really excited.  We cooked a special breakfast and had a mini photo shoot curtsies of my mom.  We just cracked up because you can tell who is a morning person and who is not based on some of the pictures.  My mom had a slide show up on her facebook.  I am not going to share all of pictures she did because there are too many.  I will share my favorites though. One of my favorite memories of this day was when the girls came home.  Tesi was kind of sad because she said that no one talked or played with her.  We discussed with her that she needed to introduce herself to other kids and ask them to play.  Then I turned to Millie and asked if she made any friends.  Millie responded " I was going to but I changed my mind." LOL!!

P day

Sometime in the summer on a Sunday afternoon we decided to do a puzzle. Milton was out and about the day before and bought it for the girls as a surprise.  Then the girls requested popcorn to go with the Puzzle and then the next thing you know I was making Pink Lemonade.  What does all of that start with?  The letter P!  I feel like this post is turning into a Sesame Street production.  Today' post is brought to you by the letter P and the number 5.  Just kidding!  So we decided to cleverly call our fun time as "P" day.  It was a lot fun and let me just say my girl Millie is really good at putting a puzzle together!
